Independent software developer
I build software in my free time — mostly tools I couldn't find a good version of anywhere else. No gotchas. No telemetry. Subscriptions only where they make sense. Just useful things, built by someone who's tired of watching good software get worse.
A lot of software today is worse than it needs to be — padded with gotchas, tracking you didn't ask for, logins for things that shouldn't need one, and price tags that outgrew what they actually offer. I'm just trying to build the opposite of that.
These are passion projects. I build them because the existing options let me down, because I think a space deserves something fairer, or because something useful just didn't exist yet. I'd like to do this full-time one day. Until then, every install, every coffee, and every kind word helps more than you'd think.
Some things deserve a subscription. Most don't. I try to know the difference.
